Solo act/Singer Songwriter

If you're a solo musician with plans of recording your own original music (or covers), it can be daunting to see all the work that goes in to creating a streaming-ready track.

A good place to start, is high-quality recordings of your work. As the saying goes, "crap in, equals crap out." There is no way to get an amazing piece of music out of a badly recorded performance. Avoid that by getting help from someone who knows how to capture the sound you want.

Automated Dialogue Replacement (ADR)

Have you ever watched a movie, and suddenly the quality of a character's dialogue seems to drop? Sometimes, we can't get everything right, and a great performance ends up with a bad audio take.

When this can't be avoided, there are ways to salvage the take. Aside from settling for a long night of editing the offending take, a popular option is ADR, where a performer will come in to studio and re-record the line, or lines, that are problematic.

The recorded performances are performed to the recorded video to assure the performer can match the energy of the scene perfectly. Added in to the final film, and nobody at home can tell there was ever a problem!
